First time visit today. My husband got me a gift card for Christmas because he knew I had been wanting to try this place. Was finally able to use it today, and I have to say I will be back! Scheduling was super easy online and could fill out all your forms that way as well. I had a facial today with Kaylee She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and gave me many suggestions for my skin. I ended up buying the face mask that she recommended and used on me today. Hand & Stone Spa Opens In Northville Park Place
Let’s face it, Americans don’t necessarily live the healthiest lifestyles, especially with long work hours and the stress of living busy lives.
“Our bodies are not designed for that,” said Sumit Bansal, who is opening the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa on Traditions Drive in Northville Park Place. “We need to shut down our brain’s energy for at least an hour.”
The new spa will have a soft opening this weekend, with an actual public opening Monday, Feb. 18. It is Bansal’s second such spa with the first located in Troy. “In this room, you are all by yourself. It is all about you,” said Bansal’s wife, Monica, a business analyst for Volkswagen of America.
The spa, a franchise with at least 300 stores across the U.S., offers various types of massage including, Swedish, deep tissue you name it. The stone in the spa’s name is about hot stone massage. Stones are heated to a certain temperature and rubbed on the body. “It brings a much higher level of relaxation to the body,” Bansal said.
Also to be offered are a variety of facials, including peels and microderm abrasion, for example. “What we offer used to be called luxury spas. I make these affordable and bring them to the masses,” Bansal said.
“It is this way that we are able to give it to customers much cheaper,” he added.
The second Great Clips was also successful, but the third store was tougher. At that point, Bansal slowed down and concentrated on doing what was needed to make it a winner.
